This page is a template for the Shipped theme. It is a starting point, not legal advice. Have someone qualified review it before you publish your own.
This policy explains what information this website collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain. If something is unclear, write to us and we will fix the wording.
Who we are
This site is run by Shipped, a small product studio. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means the studio. When it says “the site”, it means this website and the contact form on it. It does not cover the software we build for clients, which comes with its own terms.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- Your name, so we know who we are talking to.
- Your email address, so we can reply.
- Your company, if you give one. It is optional.
- Your message, plus any optional choices you tick, such as the services you are interested in, a rough budget or a timeline.
We do not ask for anything else, and we do not build a profile of you from other sources.
How we use it
We use what you send for one thing: replying to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, running that project. Each submission is logged on our server so a person on the team can read it and answer.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We will not add you to a newsletter unless you ask to join one.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not set tracking cookies. The only cookies it may use are the ones it strictly needs to work, such as keeping the contact form secure. There is no analytics or advertising tracking turned on by default.
If we ever switch on an analytics tool, we will update this page first, name the tool, and explain what it records.
Where your data lives
The site is hosted on Netlify. Form submissions pass through Netlify’s servers and are stored in their logs, which may be located outside your country. Netlify acts as our hosting provider and handles the data under its own privacy and security commitments.
We do not use any other third party to process contact form submissions.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and for no more than two years after our last conversation. Information from client projects is kept for as long as the contract requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the information we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete it entirely.
We will answer within 30 days. There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.
Contact
Questions about privacy, or a request about your data, go to privacy@example.com. A person reads that inbox, not a bot.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. For larger changes, we will say what changed in a short note at the top.
